First of all, I think that you already knew what the name of my birth place is. Sihfa is about 25 kms( air) or 80kms (land) from Aizawl and is in Aizawl district and she surrounds by mild environment along with big or thick forest. I think my village is one of the best village among other villages of Mizoram.
Yeah! I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the respected of my facebook friend. You all are pretty honorable, incredible and awesome. And I am really proud to be your friend on Facebook, though I haven't met you all in face to face.Indeed, it is the first time for me to write my history of Childhood life on facebook and more importantly, it is the first privilege in my lifetime as well.
You know that, even though my English is not good grammatically, I would have curiosity to be able to write and speak English effectively and efficiently on account of my intension. For this reason, to carry out any writing to what I want to, this can be challenged for my closed friends who always belong to Sihfa and all of us to achieve and gain English proficiency. Above all, I wholeheartedly thank God for giving me a good time, healthy mind/emotion and health to write my passed time. Having been born and grown up in a tiny, remote village, I would like to talk about my own life during MY CHILDHOOD LIFE IN SIHFA.
Those were the best of times and the worst of times. I remember all those memorable days like yesterday. I miss those days, the days when I was still a young, innocent child.
Oh! By the way, my name is LALMUANAWMA. I have four brothers and I, youngest son, am 24 years old. Now, I have no grandmother and grandfather who were passed way in heaven when I was baby. My parents have been belonging to jhum cultivation and they guided me to have good character when I was young.
I belonged to Christian family, my parents had me in church ever since I was born. And I started attending Sunday School Class in Sihfa Church at the age of five on every Sunday morning. Talking about my educational background, I was admitted to the Primary School-I Sihfa at the age of six . At that time, we always had summer holidays, and when I was on my first Sunday School Class, our Sunday school teachers agreed for me to join the beginners class. Our first and foremost lesson was the account of creation in the book of Genesis, how God created the human being, the animals including reptiles, all the universe and solar systems. And I was so interested in that lesson and was always eager to attend Sunday School Classes ever since then. When I was young, my favorite Bible stories were David (king of Israel), Moses and the birth of Jesus Christ, I liked the story of famous persons who are in Bible.
When I was admitted in GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOL-I SIHFA, my educational journey started. My School environment was not too bad, and all of our teachers was cordially involved in any activities of ours. I thinks that Someone who is my classmate has been knowing that Sir MAROVA's pen(very long and strenght) which crahed on our head or palm. Sir NUNGA(LALRINNUNGA) is good tempered and is in gentleness, cordially he encouraged us to any activities, but his voice is always very loud and has quavering voice.
By the way, during my leisured time, I also used to escort my mother at our garden in RAMLAITUI to search of our natural vegetables such as Khanghu (the name of a species of khang or climbing acacia) and Phuihnam (the name of a cultivated variety of clerodendron). And I with my closed friends also used to go to hunt for crabs, prones and fishes at TUIKHURLUI( name of one brook which is originated from LAMHLA TUIKHUR). And sometimes, we also used to go in the forest especially in VAWNGLAWN and way of N.LUNHPHER to search of mushrooms particularly ‘PA SAWNTLUNG’. By the way, my father who is illiterate person was not attended any classes in School because of his family was very poor and his family was helped by him day to day, that's why my father was be illeterate person, but there is no one to be good instead of my father. And even though my mother is only belonged class 3 ( because of scarcity of money), she has an excellent memory for dates when to be able to find mushrooms and she taught me to have gentle speech and polite manners.
When I was MIDDLE SCHOOL student, Our Headmaster Sir SIAMHNUNA taught me how to learn english grammar, and Sir LUNGTIAWIA taught us mathematics and about moral development. If we had bad behaviour or we failed on class test, corporal punishment was apllied by him to us and to beat our buttock or palm and sometimes, going around the volleyball court with kneeling down was apllied to us, and I involved that his punishment regularly.
At that time, my elder brother of LALHRUAITLUANGA taught me how to make and use of CATAPULT and how to shoot the birds. I used to try to shoot the birds as much as I can with my closed friends near our village particularly in HNAHKIAH HMUN. And also he taught me how to make BOW and to shoot Lizard. I often with others followed U TEREMA at anywhere to shoot lizard. Being bad character, we used to steal PU ZÂMA's orange regularly after over class.
Having looked back my past times during MY CHILDHOOD LIFE IN SIHFA, there are a lot of activities that I had done. In fact, it is impossible to talk about all of my activities.
